Our key focus at STAGS Sixth Form is to inspire and prepare students for life after their studies, whatever their aspirations may be.

Making the right choices at Post 16 is crucial to ensure the best possible future prospects. We are very proud of our outstanding learning environments, with our distinctive ethos, highly professional standards and commitment to ensuring a first class education for our Post 16 students. We have a clear expectation that students want to be here to achieve their best and take an active part in the wider life of the school. Students will become part of the welcoming, hardworking and supportive learning community. Students receive a personalised education which is both demanding and rewarding and through the excellent care and guidance offered, they will be given every opportunity to progress towards their future goals, develop their individual talents and flourish.

Our Aims are:

To enable every student to achieve their full potential and to maintain our very high academic standards
To ensure every student is on a programme of study appropriate for their individual skills and needs
To provide all necessary guidance with regard to entry to Universities, Higher Education establishments, Apprenticeship programmes or employment
To encourage and provide opportunities for every student to take a full and active role in STAGS Sixth Form life and to contribute to the wide ranging leadership opportunities in the school

It's been really great to have so many new enrichment and leadership opportunities. You really do get out what you put into Sixth Form. They also fit in realistically with schoolwork, even in a more senior position.

Ambition Education Trust

Our trust is composed of 10 schools situated in Hertfordshire, across St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Hemel Hempstead. There are five primary and five secondary schools, with over 800 staff delivering high-quality education to 7500 young people from the ages 3 to 18. This is a huge privilege and one we take seriously, to achieve our central aim of Educational Excellence for All.
